Driver

JOB PURPOSE

The Driver reports directly to the Distribution and Cold Store Manager. The Driver will be responsible for providing sales and distribution services to several clients as indicated by the company. This role is an important point of reference between the company and the clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Making sure that the designated vehicle is equipped as necessary.

2. Collecting/delivering the product whilst taking all the necessary safety precautions.

3. Loading and unloading of all merchandise, which includes heavy lifting of packages.

4. Reporting any discrepancies or damage to the goods to the appropriate Manager.

5. Accepting returns from customers, completing the necessary documentation, and return to the warehouse.

6. Observing speed limits and obeying all road signs.

7. Keeping driving records (i.e., mileage and gas receipts).

8. Contacting clients to take orders and increase sales.

9. Informing customers about product availability and product prices.

10. Delivering invoices with orders and collecting payments.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

1. Previous experience in a similar role.

2. In possession of a valid Driving License B.

3. Good command of numeracy and literacy.

4. Good communication skills in English.

5. IT literate.

6. Customer-oriented.

7. Able to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods.

8. Any other duties or tasks that may be required.

9. C driving licence will be considered an asset.
