About This Job
The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of staff, clients, and goods as required by the company. The role ensures that vehicles are well-maintained, journeys are carried out in compliance with traffic regulations, and all transport activities support the smooth running of company operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport staff, clients, visitors, or goods as assigned.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure punctual arrivals and timely deliveries.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes) and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and presentable always.
- Adhere to traffic laws, road safety rules, and company driving policies.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and securing goods or equipment when necessary.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip details.
- Promptly report accidents, delays, or incidents to the Facilities & Logistics Officer.
- Support logistics and facilities tasks such as deliveries, collections, and errands as required.
Requirements:
- Valid and clean Maltese (EU) driving license.
- Proven driving experience in a professional role.
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
- Ability to work independently, follow schedules, and adapt to route changes.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to assist with handling or lifting items when required.
