Our client, a reputable Investment Firm in Malta, is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to grow their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a well-established firm and contribute to its continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee outsourced accounting provider to ensure timely and accurate monthly management accounts (via XERO), including onboarding new entities and supplying key data (e.g. investment inventory, inter-company loans).
- Review monthly accounts and manage relationships and deliverables with the external accounting team.
- Project-manage annual audits for Maltese entities to ensure completion within deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain internal reconciliations (bank, debtor/creditor, loan amortisation, inter-company loans) and supporting schedules (budget vs actuals, KPI analysis).
- Coordinate information flow across teams to ensure timely account production.
- Liaise with internal tax manager and external advisors to ensure VAT and income tax compliance.
- Provide ad hoc financial data, analysis, and support for cash flow forecasting.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent); Maltese warrant not required.
- 3+ years' post-qualification experience in commercial finance, ideally within a mid-to-large business or investment-related environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Maltese VAT and income tax, and hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused with strong communication skills.
- Familiar with Maltese company law and MBR filings.
- Native English speaker; international exposure is a plus.
