This Application Support Officer position is with a leading healthcare IT support company, recognised for delivering exceptional technology solutions and support services to organisations across the healthcare sector. As a market leader with an excellent reputation, the company offers the opportunity to join a collaborative and highly skilled team dedicated to delivering outstanding service to its clients.
You will become part of a growing Application Support team, currently made up of a Team Leader and five Application Support Specialists, with plans to expand to nine team members over the next year. In this role, approximately 70% of your time will be focused on providing application support, troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and ensuring the smooth operation of business-critical healthcare applications.
The remaining 30% of your role will involve coordinating application upgrades and enhancement projects, acting as the key liaison between clients and software suppliers to ensure successful delivery with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations. This provides an excellent opportunity to develop project coordination skills while maintaining a strong technical focus.

You will:
- Act as the first point of contact for application support, investigating technical issues, identifying root causes, and delivering timely resolutions to minimise service disruption.
- Monitor, prioritise, and manage support requests throughout their lifecycle, ensuring incidents are resolved or escalated appropriately while meeting agreed response and resolution targets.
- Collaborate with clients, third-party vendors, and internal teams to coordinate software upgrades, resolve complex application issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of supported systems.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, user guides, and support knowledge articles to promote efficient support processes and enhance the overall user experience.
Skills / Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in application support
- Experience in the healthcare space is a plus
Salary / Remuneration: €30,000 - €38000 + benefits
