BT Group is seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join our internal accounting function. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Assisting in the general bookkeeping of the company
- Carrying out month end accounting procedures and reconciliations
- Assisting and supporting in the overall billing and credit control function
- Handling intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
- Supporting the head of department in the general financial management of the company
- Any other duty which may be required from time-to-time
Skillsets and Requirements
- Previous accounting experience in a similar role
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team player with ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Education & Experience
- A-level standard of education
- An accountancy qualification or studying toward attainment of such will be considered desirable
