Logistics Executive

JOB PURPOSE

The Distribution Logistics Executive is responsible for supervising the receipt, dispatch, and storage of goods in our storage locations, while maintaining accurate stock levels and controlling costs related to inventory, transport, and warehousing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Implement operational policies and procedures.

2. Develop and implement inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock.

3. Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.

4. Monitor and control costs related to stocks, warehousing, and transportation.

5. Ensure warehouses and stored items are kept organized and secure.

6. Motivate and lead assigned personnel whilst monitoring performance.

7. Ensure the safety of all staff and the safe use of warehouse equipment.

8. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of goods and services.

9. Maintain logistics item master data in the ERP system.

10. Organize regular physical stocktaking.

11. Investigate discrepancies and take appropriate action to avoid recurrence.

12. Create and implement strategies to continuously improve logistics efficiency.

13. Assist and/or replace the Storekeeper when the need arises.

14. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet loaders.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

1. Diploma in related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred.

2. Experience in working with ERP systems.

3. Demonstrated ability to manage logistics warehouse/team.

4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.

5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

6. Ability to work independently and within a team with minimal supervision.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills.

8. Analytical thinking.

9. Leadership/mentoring.

10. Ability to educate and train others.
