&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;POSITION SUMMARY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The machine operator is responsible for providing physical labour support during all phases of production. They provide a broad range of support in areas, such as, technical work, moving materials, shovelling and basic equipment operation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;KEY RESPONSIBILITIES&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Load, unload and move construction materials around the Plant.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Clear work areas by removing debris and hazardous materials and make them ready for Plant operation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Ensure that all tools and equipment are ready and available at the beginning of each shift so that plant can begin it work on time.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Inspect for damages to equipment and machinery. Reporting to Foreman / Assistant.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Arrange for materials such as bricks, moulds, tools and equipment as is necessary.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Load and unload materials to and from plant / storage, ensuring that they are safely moved to storage / plant by using equipment such as fork lifters, trucks etc.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance when necessary. in the same way the change of moulds when needed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Clean up work sites, housekeeping.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Report all accidents or near misses, and injuries, no matter how slight, that occur on the job to Head of Department / Health &amp;amp; Safety Official.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Wear personal protective equipment when working in hazardous areas, and/or as required.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Inspect all equipment prior to use and report any unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Ensure that you are in good health and not under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs, when performing your work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;EDUCATION &amp;amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· The candidate should have an MQF Level 1 of education.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Strong communication skills in Maltese and English are a must.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;COMPETENCIES&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Organisational and planning skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Problem solving and decision-making skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Time management and multitasking skills.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· The ability to work independently and as part of a team.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· The ability to use and maintain equipment, systems and machines in a fast-paced environment&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Knowledge of production and documentation practices&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Understanding of quality procedures&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Working hours are those associated with full-time employment.&lt;/p&gt;
