Sales Representative

JOB PURPOSE

Malta Dairy Products is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to grow our presence in the HORECA and retail sectors. The role focuses on

expanding market reach, strengthening customer relationships, and keeping MDP products a top choice across Malta. While centred on HORECA,

it may also support other sales channels as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Grow sales performance across the HORECA and assigned key clients, driving the success of MDP’s full product range.

2. Develop and manage relationships with chefs, purchasing managers, retailers, and key account stakeholders.

3. Identify and convert new business opportunities, ensuring strong market penetration and customer retention.

4. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, supported by structured planning and proactive territory management.

5. Ensure product quality and stock rotation, coordinating closely with the Distribution team.

6. Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing valuable insights to support business strategy.

7. Support promotional activities, tastings, and merchandising initiatives in collaboration with Marketing.

8. Represent the MDP brand with professionalism, maintaining the highest standards of service and integrity.

9. Provide occasional support to other sales areas as required by operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

1. Proven experience in FMCG sales, ideally within the food, beverage, or dairy industry.

2. Strong knowledge of the Maltese HORECA landscape.

3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills in Maltese and English.

4. Highly motivated, organised, and target-driven, with the ability to work independently.

5. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

6. Clean driving licence: own transport considered an asset.
