About the Role
International Fender Providers (IFP) is seeking a motivated, organized, and proactive STS Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the company’s Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations, ensuring smooth communication between vessels, agents, service providers, and internal departments while maintaining the highest operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily STS operations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Liaise with vessel operators, masters, agents, mooring masters, tug operators, and service providers regarding operational requirements and schedules.
- Prepare and distribute operational documentation, including checklists, operational plans, risk assessments, and pre-arrival documentation.
- Ensure all operational records, certificates, and vessel documentation are maintained and updated.
- Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of STS equipment, including fenders and hoses.
- Monitor weather conditions, vessel schedules, and operational constraints to support safe STS planning.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with OCIMF guidelines, company procedures, and industry best practices.
- Support the Operations Manager in planning logistics, manpower allocation, and equipment readiness.
- Maintain regular communication with offshore teams and provide operational support during STS activities.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with company HSEQ standards and Safety Management System (SMS).
Qualifications & Experience
- The ideal candidate should ideally have experience in the maritime or marine services industry, preferably with exposure to Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations.
- Previous experience in marine operations, shipping logistics, or vessel coordination will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operations simultaneously.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- A maritime qualification, marine background, or relevant operational experience will be considered an asset.
