BT Commercial Ltd, a leader in the Air Conditioning, Heating & Ventilation, and Photovoltaic (PV) sector, is currently expanding its team and is seeking Solar PV Panel Installers and Heat Pump Water Heater Installers on a full-time basis.
As the company continues to grow within the renewable energy sector, we are looking for motivated individuals who want to be part of a dynamic, hands-on technical team working on sustainable energy solutions across Malta.
Position Summary
The selected candidates will assist the installation teams in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and heat pump water heating systems on residential and commercial sites.
Responsibilities include working on rooftops and plant rooms, handling mechanical fixing systems, mounting PV panels, installing heat pump water heaters, and supporting commissioning activities in line with technical drawings and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of solar PV systems, including mounting structures, rails, and photovoltaic panels
- Assist in the installation of heat pump water heaters, including positioning, mechanical connections, and basic support during commissioning
- Read and follow site drawings, layouts, and instructions provided by supervisors or engineers
- Use basic hand tools and power tools safely (e.g. drills, impact drivers, spanners, wrenches, etc.)
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area (“clean as you go” policy)
- Support the team in loading, unloading, and handling materials and equipment
- Report daily progress and completed works to the team leader or site supervisor
- Coordinate with other trades and team members on-site
- Participate in on-the-job training and skill development opportunities
- Ensure high-quality workmanship in line with project specifications and standards
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by management or team leaders
Requirements
- Basic understanding of mathematical calculations
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and instructions
- Previous experience in construction, installation, or similar hands-on work is considered an asset (especially in PV or mechanical systems)
- Interest in renewable energy and sustainable technologies is highly desirable
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Must be 18 years of age or older
