Accounting Supervisor

Our client, a reputable Corporate Services Provider in Malta, is looking to recruit an Accounting Supervisor.

The successful candidate will form part of a dynamic team servicing a predominantly international clientele operating across a wide range of industries, as well as the firm's private clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional seeking to take on greater responsibility, lead a team, and further develop their technical and client management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising and reviewing accounting assignments to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines.

• Managing a diversified portfolio of local and international clients.

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports.

• Overseeing VAT compliance requirements, including the preparation and review of VAT returns.

• Preparing and reviewing corporate income tax computations and returns.

• Coaching, mentoring and supporting junior team members whilst contributing to their professional development.

• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact for client queries.

• Monitoring budgets, billing and job progress, whilst reporting regularly to management.

• Identifying process improvements and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified Accountant

• Warranted Accountant

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a professional services environment

• Previous experience managing a client portfolio within a Corporate Service Provider (CSP) environment will be considered an asset

• Strong leadership, organisational and people management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines and deliver a high standard of client service
