Accounting - Supervisor

We're currently engaged with a prominent Corporate Services Provider in Malta for the recruitment of an Accounting - Supervisor.

Responsibilities: 

• Conducting reviews of accounting, VAT returns, and tax returns.
• Supervising and overseeing the team's work to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Managing the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Delivering excellent customer service by promptly addressing clients' requests and inquiries.
• Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

Qualifications:

• University degree in accounting, or ACCA or ACA qualified.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a client accounting role.
• Ability to manage, inspire, mentor, and supervise a team to meet tight deadlines.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS and GAPSME reporting standards, as well as the Income Tax Act and the Value Added Tax Act.
• Excellent at prioritizing and delivering within tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of taxation and/or liquidations is an advantage.
