About This Job

We are currently assisting our client, who operates within the CSP industry, with finding an Accounts Assistant.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions, including bank reconciliations, posting of invoices, and maintaining accounts payable and receivable ledgers up to trial balance;
  • Prepare and process payments accurately and within set deadlines;
  • Support the monthly client billing cycle, including the preparation and issuance of invoices to clients;
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements;
  • Liaise with auditors, the Tax and VAT Departments, and the Malta Business Registry (MBR) as required and as directed by the Head of Department;
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date filing systems for all accounting and financial documentation.


Requirements:

  • An Advanced Level qualification in Accounting is required;
  • Previous experience in an accounting role will be considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written;
  • A proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with external and internal departments ensuring lines of communication remain open;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Proficient in the use of standard office tools including Microsoft Office and other;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision.
