Accounts Executive (Client Accounting)

AIMS International Malta is assisting a leading CSP with finding a suitable Accounts Executive to strengthen their team. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the bookkeeping of multiple Maltese companies up to trial balance stage.

• Prepare periodic management accounts for holding, trading, or international client structures.

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure ledgers are kept updated.

• Perform ad hoc accounting tasks as they arise.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns and EC recapitulative statements, ensuring VAT compliance.

• Prepare income tax computations, tax returns, and tax refund claim forms.

• Provide general corporate tax support as required.

• Liaise with external auditors, support the audit process, and provide required documentation.

• Draft financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAPSME where applicable.

• Act as a point of contact for clients, advisors, shareholders, and other stakeholders.

• Perform general administrative and filing duties as required.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple client portfolios.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multicultural stakeholders.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications.

• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero) considered an asset.

• Currently pursuing or already holding ACCA or an equivalent accounting qualification; candidates in the initial stages will also be considered.

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in client accounting, corporate services, audit, or similar environments.

• Experience in a multi-client environment is preferable.
