Associate Lawyer - Banking & Finance

AIMS International is assisting one of our clients, a well established Law Firm in Malta, with recruiting an Associate Lawyer - Baking & Finance.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a specialist finance practice, working on high-quality client matters and learning directly from a senior partner in an open-door, hands-on mentoring environment.

Responsibilities:

• Banking and finance transactions, including lender and borrower-side work.

• Corporate, project and asset finance matters.

• Security arrangements, financing documentation and legal opinions.

• Due diligence, refinancing, transaction support and client advice.

• Liaising with clients, financial institutions and other advisers.

• Monitoring Maltese and EU legal and regulatory developments relevant to finance.

Requirements:

• A strong interest in banking and finance.

• Grounding in Corporate and Civil Law.

• Excellent legal research, drafting and analytical skills.

• Commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

• Strong written and spoken English.

• A proactive attitude and willingness to work closely within a team.

We welcome applications from lawyers at all levels of experience. Prior experience in banking, finance, corporate finance, financial services or transactional work is an asset, but not essential.
