Our client, a leading professional services firm, is currently seeking to recruit an Auditor to join its growing team. Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the execution of audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Completing smaller audit assignments with minimal supervision.
- Supporting senior team members on larger audits and ensuring work is carried out in line with audit methodologies and professional standards.
- Applying knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including IFRS, GAPSME, ISA, and the Companies Act.
- Building and maintaining effective client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction in terms of quality and delivery.
- Monitoring progress against engagement plans and adapting where necessary.
- Utilising audit tools and firm software to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Communicating effectively with team members, contributing ideas, and collaborating within the audit team.
- Supporting the development of a positive, team-oriented working environment.
- Continuously developing technical knowledge and staying up to date with industry changes.
- Identifying value-added insights and recommendations for clients.
- Escalating ethical, independence, or conflict issues to management when necessary.
- Managing time effectively across multiple engagements and demonstrating good organisational skills.
- Assisting managers in reviewing audit work and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the role.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an audit role.
- Currently in the process of obtaining an ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
