Engineering & Maintenance Junior Manager

On behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Junior Manager with a combination of hands-on technical expertise and managerial experience to lead a team of Maintenance Technicians.

The Engineering & Maintenance Junior Manager will be responsible for the maintenance of simple to medium-complexity automation equipment, as well as analysing equipment failures and identifying and implementing improvements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Maintenance and Development team and for the overall management of the function. This will include the management of spare parts and maintenance stock, maintenance and repair activities, and the proper recording and maintenance of relevant documentation and records.

The position will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree with 3 years of hands-on experience;

• Good organisational and leadership skills to manage a team of technicians;

• Ability to read and understand electrical circuit diagrams and mechanical drawings;

• Good negotiations skills;

• A proactive, can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills

• Experience in manufacturing engineering or operations will be considered an asset;

• Good communicator and well-spoken English;
