    	        	&lt;p&gt;We’re currently supporting a client of ours within the Investment Services industry with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant. The role encompasses traditional financial accounting tasks as well as industry specific reporting to the financial industry regulator – Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). In addition to financial accounting and regulatory reporting, we would prioritize individuals with additional skills exposure such as internal control, risk management, compliance and anti&amp;nbsp;money laundering (AML).&lt;br&gt;
&lt;br&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Responsibilities&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Managing the General Ledger, recording financial transactions
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Monthly, quarterly, annual statements (balance sheet, income statements)
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Managing payments (suppliers, tax, regulators)
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Monitoring corporate contracts
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bank reconciliation
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;VAT accounting
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Corporation Tax Accounting
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Organizing the audit process
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Providing financial submissions to the regulator
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Month end, year-end close
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Cost, revenue and budget forecasts
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Monthly invoicing
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Monitor and report on financial discrepancies
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Involvement in firm wide projects
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Maintaining the holiday calendar for payroll purposes
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Calculate individual business expense reports for payroll
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Maintaining professional insurance contracts (annual)
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Maintaining employee health insurance (annual)
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Providing backup to the Fund Accounting role
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;General office procurement and management
&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;strong&gt;Requirements&lt;/strong&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SAGE accounting software
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Time-management abilities
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Confidentiality
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bachelor&#039;s Degree in Accounting, Finance of relevant field
	&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Additional certification (e.g. ACCA) is a plus.
