About This Job

Our client, a reputable Law Firm, is looking for an ambitious Junior Lawyer with experience in Investment Funds to join their Fintech & Investment Services team.

Salary: Between €20,000 and €30,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates with 1 year of relevant experience will typically be considered within the €20,000–€24,000 range, while candidates with 2–3 years of relevant experience may be considered within the €25,000–€30,000 range.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise fintech companies, investment firms, and collective investment schemes on the regulatory frameworks governing their activities, including MFSA authorisation, permissions, and ongoing compliance obligations;

  • Assist clients in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape for digital assets, payment services, consumer credit, and investment platforms;

  • Support on transactional matters, including product launches, corporate structuring, and regulatory change projects;

  • Draft and review regulatory applications, compliance policies, and client-facing documentation;

  • Contribute to thought leadership, including briefing notes, client alerts, and responses to regulatory consultations; and

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm on cross-practice matters

Requirements:

  • Between 1 and 3 years of post-qualification experience.

  • Being a warranted lawyer is a must-have requirement for this role.

  • Direct experience with investment funds.

  • Lawyers with a litigation background may also be considered if they have supported cases involving investment-related matters. Our client would also be willing to consider lawyers who have gained experience in investment-related matters during their prattika.

  • Qualified lawyer ideally with experience working in, or a demonstrable interest in, the regulatory landscape governing fintech and investment services;

  • Strong analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to distil complex regulatory material into clear, commercially focused advice

  • A collaborative working style and the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest standard
