Plant Operators (South of Malta)

On behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking a number of Plant Operators to join their expanding Plant Operations Team.

This is a hands-on role within a dynamic team, where you'll be involved in sorting and processing recyclable waste, ensuring it moves efficiently through the plant’s separation systems. If you’re a team player, not afraid to get your hands dirty, and want to be part of a sustainable initiative, this could be the right fit for you.

Responsibilities:

• Promote a safe and healthy work environment by following all Company safety policies and procedures. 
• To work in a production process to separate and convert container beverage waste into baled waste – which includes loading and unloading of waste materials.
• Cleaning of the machinery, equipment, shop floor of the factory including the outside surrounding environment.
• Performing routine cleaning and autonomous maintenance tasks on machines to uphold their reliability daily. 
• Assist the line technicians in the Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
• Undertaking any additional responsibilities as delegated by the shift leaders.
• Regularly updating production records to reflect quantities produced.
• Conducting training sessions for new process operatives/assistants to ensure safe and efficient work practices. 
• Offering guidance and assistance to fellow team members operating the machines. 

Requirements:

• Good oral and written communication skills in English or Maltese.
• Willingness to work on shift basis including Saturdays.
• Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• Be positive and reliable.
• Have a respectful attitude.
