
About This Job
Our client, a leading professional services firm, is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Auditor to join its growing audit team. Responsibilities:
- Leading smaller audit engagements with minimal supervision.
- Acting as in-charge on larger audits, overseeing and reviewing the work of junior team members to ensure compliance with audit methodologies and professional standards.
- Planning audit engagements in collaboration with management, ensuring risks are appropriately identified and addressed.
- Monitoring engagement progress against plan and making adjustments where necessary.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships and assessing client satisfaction.
- Assisting with the review of audit work and financial statements, particularly for smaller entities within group structures.
- Identifying and resolving issues related to billing and collections in a timely manner.
- Preparing high-quality client correspondence and audit documentation.
- Effectively utilising audit tools and firm software to enhance service delivery.
- Communicating effectively with team members, sharing insights, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff, ensuring efficient workflow and development.
- Identifying value-added recommendations through a strong understanding of client industries.
- Ensuring compliance with ethical standards, independence requirements, and professional liability considerations.
- Managing time effectively across multiple engagements and demonstrating strong project management skills.
- Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the role.
Requirements:
- ACCA qualification or equivalent.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar audit role.
- Experience within a professional services or audit environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
