Senior Client Accountant (Full time-Part time)

Our client, a Maltese firm offering accountancy, advisory and corporate services to a wide range of international clients, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant join their team. This role offers the possibility to work on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Client Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality services to a portfolio of clients.
• You will ensure compliance with Maltese accounting and tax regulations, as well as adherence to internal policies and standards.
• Prepare client accounts up to management accounts level for a designated portfolio
• Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns
• Handle payroll reports and submissions
• Adhere to internal controls and procedures
• Issue invoices and prepare payment instructions as needed
• Coordinate with external auditors
• Assist clients with tax refund formalities

• 3-5 years of accounting experience in Malta
• ACCA-qualified or nearing completion within one year
• Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT and Tax Law
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads efficiently
• Strong organizational skills, both personal and professional
• Team-oriented, with excellent communication skills across all levels
• Self-motivated with a structured approach to work
• Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset
• Fluency in English, with Italian knowledge being a plus
