About This Job

AIMS International Malta is assisting our client, a Trust Services provider, with recruiting a Senior Trust Executive.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance, research, and support to staff on fiduciary, governance, and regulatory matters.
  • Supervise and support the trust administration team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and high service standards.
  • Assist with the review of complex trust structures, transactions, and client arrangements.
  • Advise on fiduciary obligations, governance requirements, and best practices relating to trust administration.
  • Review trust instruments, trustee resolutions, and other trust-related documentation.
  • Act as a technical resource and point of reference for management and client-facing teams.
  • Support trust administration teams in the management of high-level client relationships.
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate to provide technical or fiduciary input.
  • Assist in maintaining high service standards for private clients, family offices, intermediaries, and institutional relationships.
  • Support teams in responding to client queries, banking matters, and complex administrative issues.
  • Act as an authorised representative for group companies and, where required, client entities.
  • Execute trust documentation in accordance with internal authorities and governance procedures.
  • Act as an authorised signatory on client bank accounts, ensuring that appropriate controls, approvals, and compliance procedures are maintained.
  • Assist with the maintenance of trust records, regulatory filings, resolutions, minutes, and governance documentation.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of internal control procedures relating to fiduciary and banking activities.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and internal audits of client records and fiduciary files to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify technical, operational, or procedural issues and recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Support the continuous improvement of governance processes, file management practices, and operational controls.
  • Assist management in monitoring workflow coordination, organisational standards, and administrative consistency across the business.
  • Review financial information relating to client trusts and structures where relevant to fiduciary oversight and administration.
  • Assist with banking, payment processes, and transaction administration.
  • Support management with reporting, organisational coordination, and operational follow-up across teams and client portfolios.


Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer, accountant, TEP, or experienced trust professional.
  • Strong background in trust services, fiduciary administration, accounting, governance, or private client structures.
  • Good understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and financial documentation.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring team members within a trust or fiduciary environment.
  • Experience with banking operations, authorised signatory responsibilities, or corporate secretarial matters would be considered an asset.
  • Experience conducting file reviews, governance oversight, compliance monitoring, or operational quality control is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple teams, jurisdictions, and priorities.
  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally.
  • Professional, discreet, and commercially aware.
  • Comfortable operating in a role involving both technical advisory and administrative responsibilities.
  • Experience within Malta, Bermuda, or other common law jurisdictions would be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high professional, fiduciary, governance, and regulatory standards.
